playable PRO - Play almost anything video player App Reviews

I purchased this app primarily to watch mkv movies. These are all but unwatchable -- the sound is way out of sync. Now I see that they are selling mkv optimization as an in app purchase. Ridiculous as they promoted the ability to play these files when I made the original purchase. Dont waste your money on this one.

I had previously rated this app 5 stars, but have elected to delete that review and update as to not mislead people into thinking this app is worth buying. At the time of release it did everything I needed it to and was a good value, but it has certainly changed for the worse every update since. Prior to the last update I was only running about a 50% success rate as far as movies being watchable on this app. After the last update Im 0/4, and so sick of this useless app that I am deleting it from my phone. The videos either start in sync and then lose sound a few minutes in or start playing 10+ seconds out of sync. No amount of restarting the movie, restarting the app, restarting the phone, turning HD on or off seems to correct it. And these were all .avi files, 2 of them which Ive played previously with no issues.

Subtitles in UTF-8 other languages arent rendering properly. Default to UTF-8 or allow user to change the encoding to SJIS, EUC-JP etc.

I used to like this app but it doesnt appear to work anymore. Couldnt even open an avi. Hopefully they update or gonna turf it.

This app is pretty awesome. Im a big fan of the ad-hoc http/ftp server thing. The only thing I didnt like was that when I bought the Pro version, it didnt port any of my videos over, so now I have to re-transfer them.

i like that it can stretch my video files to fill the screen without cutting any of the image out. but the controls are really unresponsive. please fix and ill give 5 stars.

Then screen orientation needs to be fixed

I enjoy this app I can watch my non mp4 movies without having to convert them and it is great on my iPhone 5 some other features I havent tried yet

I am pleased with my buy. Very happy that the video quality is better then the free version. Might think of a 20sec back button, and some other common features, but the basic controls it has work ok for me. Update - And it plays flash video too (was not expecting that. VERY pleasantly surprised!!!)

Great app but please add a tv out option seriously is needing it!!

This app is only getting better. Ive been using it for two years. The MKV pro function is excellent, long time coming, a TV out would be fantastic.

Does everything it needs to. Some glitches

Nice simple way to upload video to your phone. Though you do need the ability to run java from your web browser to do this. To get the 5th star, they need a native PC/Mac app for the transfer and a better method for displaying thumbnail art.

we enjoyed it ....enabled us to watch moves on a very long plane ride without the hassle of conveting

i could not get application to trasfer via wifi. the link for support brings you to a page with no useful content. garbage application. does not support many video formats. Bewhere of this crappy software!

Does play almost all videos, but once you load the videos in this app, it is very hard to get rid of them. Also you can organize your videos.

Cant play all videos. Could youse a lot of work with sound

Worth every penny, no need to convert files anymore.
